About Us
Beach Raker was founded in 1979. Over the years, we have expanded our services to meet our clients changing needs. We have developed unique mechanical beach cleaning & grooming methods to effectively maintain beaches without harming the natural vegetation and wildlife. Today, we provide beach cleaning services to clients with differing needs; proudly maintaining beaches for cities, municipalities, hotels, condominium associations, and private residences. Beach Raker has a staff of professional employees who are fully conversant with the strict rules and regulations that govern the company’s activities. All of our employees have an extensive background in beach cleaning services and are continually educated on the importance of beachgoer safety and the environmental issues that relate to the beach. Our employees have been trained on the protocols relating to beach erosion, sea turtles, and turtle nesting; assisting the Conservation Commission in monitoring and protecting turtle nests during their nesting season.
Beach Raker’s experience, knowledge, and passion for the environment are our key to providing unparalleled service.
Current News
Turtle Nesting Season Begins Early In Dade County!!!
Turtle Nesting Season starts April 15th in Dade County. In Broward and Palm Beach Counties the season started March 1st.
Turtle Monitors survey the beach each morning just after sunrise to look for new turtle nests. If they find a nest they will mark the area with stakes so that beachgoers know to avoid the area. Turtle Nesting season impacts beach cleaning activities in two major ways;
Mechanical Beach Cleaning cannot commence until after the 'all clear' has been given by the turtle Monitors, this could be as late as 9 am, depending on the number of nests that the monitors need to mark as they survey the beach.
In Broward and Palm Beach Counties, Mechanical Beach Cleaning cannot be performed above the last high tide line., i.e., only on the wet sand area, not the dry sand where the turtles nest.

Our new BeachTech Sand Sifters have been working overtime, they are picking up lots of dried seaweed, cigarette ends, bottle caps, straws, etc., buried just below the surface of the sand, as you can see below.
